Cho mình hỏi, những thành ngữ dạng tương tự thế này có trang nào hay ở đâu có bản tổng hợp không, mình muốn tìm hiểu thì có thể xem ở đâu để học?

Đối với những idiom như này bạn có thể sử dụng oxford learner dictionary hoặc idiom dictionary, nếu không có nữ hãy gg search "<idiom>+meaning" và dò nghĩa trong khoảng 5-6 trang thế nào cũng kiếm được nghĩa mong muốn, về việc nhận dạng idiom, 1 số trường hợp nhìn vô biết liền nhưng 1 số trường hợp phải để ý kỹ, đặc biệt là ngữ cảnh, việc này dịch nhiều thì quen thôi

Cái này thì hơi khó.

Chủ yếu là do mỗi tác giả có gu riêng với 1 số lượng thành ngữ/điển tích. Nếu tổng hợp những thành ngữ do khoảng 20 tác giả hay dùng thôi thì số lượng cũng đã rất nhiều. Những trang English tips kiểu BBC Radio cũng lâu lâu mới đưa ra tầm 3-4 thành ngữ trong 1 bài học.

Tuy nhiên dạng thành ngữ ngắn như let alone hay not necessary thì nó thuộc loại conjunction hơn là idiom thực thụ. Loại này thì hay thấy nhiều trên dạng văn viết không trang trọng (ví dụ các bình luận trên diễn đàn tiếng Anh, văn trong truyện văn học dạng giải trí). Mình thì học cái này qua thực chiến bằng cách đọc comment trên reddit.com. Còn việc sử dụng từ điển thành ngữ như bạn vịt t.ư vấn cũng là hợp lí.

PS: Dĩ nhiên google thì vẫn ra được 1 số bài viết tổng hợp thành ngữ phổ biến (ví dụ bài này). Tuy nhiên 1 thành ngữ đầy đủ thì cũng khá...cliché, tức là không dễ để sử dụng nó sao cho êm tai. Thường thì người dùng hay nói vắn tắt thành ngữ, người nghe phải tự hiểu (ví dụ câu "it's no use beating around the bush" thì khá hiếm thấy, nhưng cụm từ ngắn "beating around the bush" thì hay gặp hơn).

Mình đã đọc bài dịch trên của bạn rồi, rất tốt, hơn cả mình mong đợi. Nhưng, bạn không phiền nếu làm thêm 1 bài test của team chứ? Vì bộ Hậu Duệ Rồng khá khoai, không chỉ về độ khó ngữ nghĩa mà còn độ dài (sau chương 4 tổng lượng chữ mỗi chương hầu như đều dao động ở mức 7-8k) cộng một số thứ khác nữa. Và các mem khác của team đều phải làm bài test này nên bạn thông cảm.

Đây chỉ là bài đánh giá tổng quát năng lực để mình dựa vào đó xem tiến độ các chap sau của bạn. Còn lại team luôn chào đón bạn nếu bạn có ý muốn tham gia. Bạn có thắc mắc gì về đầu truyện HDR hoặc team cứ việc hỏi mình nhé )
